The main rail station is Cardiff Central. From there, there are frequent trains serving regularly Cathays Station. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/dir\/51.487418,-3.175054\/51.4873224,-3.1758531\/@51.4935434,-3.1744359,755a,20y,180h,41.53t\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!4m4!1m1!4e1!1m0!3e2?hl=en\">Mathematics Institute<\/a> is very close to <strong>Cathays Station<\/strong>: if arriving at Cathays from Cardiff Central, cross over the footbridge, walk across the car park to Senghennydd Road, turn right, walk past the Students Union, University Bookshop and the Sherman Theatre. The Mathematics Institute is the next building on the right (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.co.uk\/maps\/dir\/51.487418,-3.175054\/51.4873224,-3.1758531\/@51.4935434,-3.1744359,755a,20y,180h,41.53t\/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!4m4!1m1!4e1!1m0!3e2?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">view map<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3>By car<\/h3>\n<p>Directions are available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cf.ac.uk\/locations\/directions\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here.<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>By plane<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Cardiff airport<\/strong>. This is the closest airport. Being very small, few flights arrive there. Some direct connections from Amsterdam and some other European destinations (e.g. Barcelona, Madrid, Faro, etc.) exist: see <a title=\"Cardiff University is not responsible for the content of external sites.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tbicardiffairport.com\/\">Cardiff airport website<\/a>.<br \/>\nFrom Cardiff airport you can reach Cardiff city centre and the School of Mathematics <a title=\"Cardiff University is not responsible for the content of external sites.\" href=\"http:\/\/www.tbicardiffairport.com\/en\/content\/2\/13\/by-bus.html\">by bus<\/a> or by taxi.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bristol airport<\/strong>.
