You should study the project descriptions carefully, taking note of any prerequisite Year 2 modules and Year 3 modules that are recommended for concurrent study. However, the written information that is provided should only be viewed as<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> a starting point for making your choices. You are <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">strongly recommended to discuss things further with the supervisors<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> of the projects that you are most interested in, as well as with your personal tutor. Some project supervisors may provide a list of time<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">s when they will be available to discuss projects with individual students. But in most cases you will need to make your own arrangements to see a potential supervisor, for example by emailing the supervisor to determine a mutually convenient time for an a<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ppointment. Note that the submission deadline is after teaching ends, so many supervisors might be occupied with other matters. You are therefore most likely to be able to find a mutually convenient appointment with a prospective supervisor, if you contact<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> them before teaching ends, even if the appointment takes place after teaching ends.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:140,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Once you have decided on which projects you are interested in, you will need to submit a list of four project choices, in order of preference, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=MEu3vWiVVki9vwZ1l3j8vCwntvwIVIpLiFZ6cjypLq1UN0pQV1VFMUpZUjI0SlgyQzhUN0w5T1hLTy4u\"><span data-contrast=\"auto\">here<\/span><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. This form is to be submitted by Friday 25 June at 4pm. Decisions about project allocations to individual students will be made i<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">n the summer recess, after the resit examination boards.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:140,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\"><\/p>\n<p><\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Instead of choosing one of the listed projects, it is sometimes possible for a student to propose an individual project in another area of work that they have already developed an interest in. For e<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">xample, a student who is currently completing a professional training placement may wish to undertake a year three project to study and develop a problem pertinent to their placement work.
